about

Back in 1995 I was in the comfortable situation to record an album at the well-respected The Elephant studio in London. The place oozed history, people like Elvis Costello and The Pogues did some of their albums at this place and I was very happy to be there. Also my dear old friend Phil Butcher, formerly known as bass player of Sir Iggy Pop, Gang Of Four and The La's, joined us to play some double bass and helped with the production. Anne Wood of Lamb and Raincoats fame joined also on violin and I couldn't be happier these days. Mix and dubs were made by the great Martin Harrison, studio crack of On-U-Sound and bass player of the unforgotten Fellow Travellers. At the end there was this recording mixing singer/songwriter stuff with some dub elements, too much for the mid 90's, no label was interested. So a dat tape which costs me 10.000 bucks went into my personal archive. Think it still sounds fresh and timeless after all these years, so I decided to offer it here at Bandcamp, maybe someone likes it, thanks.
